The Vision
Revelation 7:9-12 paints a picture of a great, innumerable multitude from every nation and language gathered before the throne of God. At Brewer Lake Baptist Church, we long to be a part of seeing this vision become a reality.
Our Values
We seek to know, teach, believe and obey the Bible
We believe that the Bible is more than just a book. It is the very word of God. From beginning to end, it points us to Christ and teaches what it means to follow Him. This means, that the Bible is our authority and the central focus of everything we do.
We seek to build families
We believe that the family is the cornerstone of society. For this reason, we want to help whole families come to know the joy of following Jesus by providing a whole church of people to come alongside you in the joys and difficulties of parenting. We are a church family, which means we have spiritual grandparents, parents, brothers and sisters seeking to help one another be who Christ has called us to be.
If you do not have a family, we would love to be your family. We will welcome you, love you and encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
If you do not have a family, we would love to be your family. We will welcome you, love you and encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
We seek to worship
Jesus teaches us that first and foremost, we have been called to love God with all our hearts, souls and minds. In other words, we have been created to worship our creator. It is our greatest purpose, should be our chief desire and our highest joy. We want to help people learn how to worship God.
We seek to belong
God created us to be in relationship with other people. That means, we all feel the need to belong, and that is good. In the church, we find a place of belonging. We find people with whom we can connect, who will rejoice with us in those sweet moments, who will mourn with us in moments of sorrow, who will pray for us and help us grow. We want to be this kind of church.
We seek to serve
Christ has not called us to be consumers, but servants. He has not called us to be spectators, but to be players in the game. Jesus, the Lord of the universe, served His disciples and He called us to do the same. Having received the Holy Spirit, we have each been gifted for the purpose of helping the church become that which Jesus wants it to be. Each member is important. Each member is equally valuable. Each member is called to serve.
We seek to mobilize
God did not save us in order to build a church, but to be a church. We teach that church is not a building, but the people, and Jesus has called His people to mobilize. He has called us to get out into the workforce and the community in order to make disciples. He has called us to serve those around us, to work for justice, to meet people’s needs and to take the transforming, healing truth of the gospel to the world. We don’t want to simply exist. We want to make a difference.
